We're not like most other consultancies who issue you a short list of extracurricular opportunities or just provide minimal edits on a college application. How do I know that Alma is the right consulting agency for me?

We stress the importance of fit before we take on any new students. We actually require an initial 'fit' meeting with each one of our students before beginning any relationship to make sure that we actually are the best fit. It's that important to us.

Is Alma offering in-person services?

Alma is currently 100% virtual. Our students meet with Alma team members over Zoom.

When is the right time to hire a college coach?

There's no easy answer. We don't necessarily believe in the 'earlier the better' approach. Some students and families benefit from coaches, and others don't. We like to connect to discuss this in real time over an initial meeting and make honest recommendations based on each student.

Do you work with BS/MD applicants and pre-med students?

Yes, we have successfully placed numerous students into the most competitive BSMD programs in the nation. We routinely engage with BSMD alum and program directors to ensure that our students have as much of a competitive edge as they can in the admissions process.

Both — they are core to our practice. Our Summer Impact Planning curates competitive summer programs, research placements, and selective experiences that anchor an application. Our Personal Statement Lab pairs each student with a writing coach for unlimited edits — the average Alma student exchanges 18+ drafts of their personal statement before submission.
